Changes in Life

It has been ages since i logged into my blog. This little personal space of mine. And of course there has been so many changes in my life. I got married, moved into my new home and upgraded to a proud mummy of my little baby aka melon.

After a grueling 7 months of taking care of my darling melon, I decide to blog my thoughts again.

At this stage, I don't have any specific topics to stick to, and just want to blog as and when I'm free.

Currently the most exciting upcoming event is going on a short holiday with my family and melon. This would be the first time I'm taking a flight after my pregnancy and travelling with a baby. Guess it would be a challenge, but am glad that my parents, sister, her hubby are travelling with us, so I'm hoping that it would be less tedious.

These few days I have been browsing websites on how others cope with travelling with a baby and also what essentials to pack. But I find the information too overwhelming, so I'll just pack what melon requires.

Let me share more on my trip and preparation when the date is nearer.

Taiwan -- Day 5 > Puli -> Yehliu -> Keelung 19-Nov-2013

Day 5, and we decide to pamper ourselves by sleeping in a little bit more, as we have a long drive today. By 10am we had check-out from the guesthouse and to spend some time exploring Puli Town before moving up to Taipei.  We had wanted to try this restaurant named, 喷水餐厅, last night for dinner, but it was already closed for the day when we found it. But they have a must-try dish for me so today we decide to drop by again, for lunch!  Lucky day for us! It was open and we were the 1st customer, thus there's no long waiting time for us. We find this shop very humble, there wasn't any pictures of newspaper clippings displayed in their shop. There were only certificates of their chefs who received recognition as top renowned chefs in Taiwan. Only upon chatting with the friendly staffs do we know that they have a few TV stations coming to film their shops during the next few days. And if we were to drop by a few days later, we might not be able to taste their food, as they w...

Taiwan -- Day 4 > Cing Jing -> Puli 18-Nov-2013

We start today's itinerary at 4am today. By 3am we were up and getting ready to meet the tour group at 4am. Outside temperature was below 10 degree at that time and was freezing cold! What a relief that we have our own transport to the meeting point, if not we need to walk all the way out in the freezing and at that time there's no public transport operating yet. Our sleepy faces with hot drinks in hand to warm ourselves up.  Enlarge the pic and you will be able to see the stars in the sky! Waiting for the sun to rise and peek into a new day! The weather was so cold that we stayed in the bus most of the time. We only got down when it was almost time for the sun to rise.  Overall, 4 of us feel that the tour was worth the effort for waking up so early and bracing the cold weather without the appropriate wear. The view we had of the stars and the moment when the sun peek out from the horizon, the feeling was priceless. Its like you feel hope, warmth ...

Taiwan -- Day 6 > Danshui 20-Nov-2013

Today itinerary was not supposed to be just Danshui! But upon arriving there, somehow we lost track of time and spend almost the whole day there!  Early morning, before we return our rental car we drove to Xia Hai City God Temple. Nearest carpark we can find there was at the Dadaocheng Harbour, which is 5mins walk away. What I can say about this harbour is that it gives a very calm feeling. Its quite deserted with occasionally some locals strolling along the harbour. But it was formerly the busiest commercial district in Taipei! Cute van that bears the same color theme as Veron. Sweet! Came across an old man strolling with his companion. Caught a stork's graceful poise. Dadaocheng Harbour Jump Shot! After returning our car, we took the MRT to Damshui. Here, we ate and ate and ate! Haha. We end the day with Veron & Ben having their portrait drawn by a artist from Hong Kong. Upon arriving in Damshui, I got them to try this fried chicken, it r...
